In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The adventure centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa attire for Naoe
• Special weapons
• Survey Corps steed

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature abilities: Naoe reveals a performative variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns.
